UGG and Channel Tres Surprise Harmony Project Drumline Students

Los Angeles, CA (August 21, 2026) - Our music programming experience was altered for a group of our young artists this week when Compton-born artist Channel Tres partnered with UGG brand to surprise Harmony Project students. On Tuesday, August 18, the musician and staff from UGG dropped in on a drumline rehearsal to mentor young artists and share inspiring words about pursuing a creative life.

Channel Tres spoke candidly with our students about building confidence, overcoming self-doubt, and protecting their creative imagination. As a musician who got his start playing drums at church before studying music in college, his journey resonated deeply with our students.

To make the day even more memorable, UGG surprised every participating student with brand-new pairs of shoes from their new fall line. The generous gift brought smiles (and screams of joy) to the entire room, capping off a day filled with inspiration and validation.

Since its inception, Harmony Project has worked to eliminate barriers to music education and higher education across underserved communities in greater Los Angeles. Collaborations like this reinforce the vital work taking place in our rehearsal spaces and classrooms every day.

"For twenty-five years, Harmony Project has believed that every child in Los Angeles deserves access to the transformative power of music, regardless of their zip code," said Harmony Project Executive Director, Natalie Jackson. "Partnering with UGG and having Channel Tres spend time in our space gives our young musicians a powerful message: their talent is seen, their voices matter, and their creative potential is limitless. When brands and artists invest directly in our children, they aren’t just donating shoes or dropping in for a visit; they are validating the dreams of the next generation of leaders and creators."

We thank Channel Tres for sharing his time and wisdom, and to UGG for their generous gift and commitment to supporting youth arts education for children in underserved Los Angeles communities.
