Ryan was curious, smart, creative, generous, and the eternal optimist as he pursued every conceivable avenue, no matter how unorthodox or experimental, to bring the music he loved to fans across the globe.

In 2008, the year he graduated from Northwestern University, Ryan was hired as an assistant at Atlantic Records. It was there that he grew into an innovative marketer and a devoted champion for his artists. Being a musician in his own right, he truly understood their journey.

Rising through the ranks at Atlantic, he was a creative director, a digital strategist, and an artist development trailblazer all rolled into one.Ryan Brady lived a life devoted to music, as a passionate music executive and gifted musician.

Ryan’s passion for music, books, and culture filled every aspect of his life. Alongside his post at Atlantic, he co-hosted Take It Away: The Complete Paul McCartney Archive Podcast. Ryan also co-founded the musical project Uncle Salsa and the Pelican Boy, who released their debut album, Tropical Purgatory, in September 2020.

Ryan was happily married to singer/songwriter Annabel Jones. His infectious love of life and music touched everyone who met him—countless artists, colleagues, friends.

The Brady Family has set up the Ryan Brady Memorial Fund with Harmony Project, as he loved to see the next generation connecting with the power of music, encouraging them to learn an instrument and explore their talent. Ryan was a ray of light, and his spirit lives on in all those who were and continue to be inspired by his irrepressible joy.
