Harmony Project’s Co-Founder and Board Member, Robert Forst, Esq.

Message below from Harmony Project Executive Director, Natalie Jackson.

Los Angeles, CA (May 14, 2026) - It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of our founding visionary, Harmony Project board member, and above all dear friend, Robert Forst, Esq., this past Friday, May 8th.

Simply put, The Harmony Project exists because of Bob. In 2001, his deep passion for both community service and for helping underserved children through the medium of music, sprouted the beginnings of Harmony Project. Twenty-five years later, every student we serve and every note played across all of our sites is a reflection of his original vision.

We are eternally grateful to Bob and the Forst family for their unwavering dedication since that first fateful co-founder meeting a quarter of a century ago, which led to what would become Harmony Project. We are deeply saddened by this loss. In his honor, Harmony Project will re-dedicate itself to providing our free services to Los Angeles’ most vulnerable families and building community through music education with the same fervor Bob brought to everything he did.

We ask that you please join our staff, board, and the entire Harmony Project family in keeping the Forst family in your thoughts and prayers.

In harmony,

Natalie Jackson

Executive Director
