As the Co-Founder and Chairman of Westwood Financial, Howard Banchik boasts a legendary career in real estate spanning over five decades. However, his true distinction lies in his unwavering commitment to orchestrating opportunity for the next generation. This dedication is deeply rooted in personal experience; raised in a working-class family in Pacoima, Howard credits music as the catalyst for his professional success, having started a band that funded his own college tuition.
Howard’s response to the transformative power of music has been resolute. Over the past 25 years, he has forged an indomitable bond with Harmony Project and its young artists, serving as a pivotal figure since our inception in 2001. Howard’s support has been nothing short of exemplary; from his visionary leadership to granting over 800 daily needs college scholarships to Harmony graduates, he has consistently embodied our mission. Through his tireless advocacy, Howard has propelled Harmony Project to unprecedented heights, ensuring that the gift of music continues to break systemic barriers and change lives across greater Los Angeles.
