Harmony Project’s International Academy of Young Conductors (IAYC) provides students ages 13 to 18 from underrepresented communities, with intensive training in conducting and leadership under the mentorship of top conductors, professors, and music administrators from around the world.


Program details

Through 100+ hours of academic instruction per year, our comprehensive curriculum will prepare students with the experience, connections, and skills needed to enter the world of conducting, including: conducting technique, harmony & counterpoint, principles of composing, music history, advanced sight-reading, ear training, and music administration.

Local (Los angeles, ca) LAUNCH - SPRING 2019

In January 2019, Harmony Project will select 6 pioneer students for the academy.

International (United States and Beyond) LAUNCH - summer 2019

6 additional students from around the United States and beyond will join the pioneers during a two-week summer intensive.
