Beyond the Bell

Beyond the Bell Program, begun in 2009, is the 3rd program launched by Harmony Project. After the success of our first two community-based programs, Harmony Project partnered with LAUSD’s Beyond the Bell branch and four local schools to create a 3rd school-based music program. Thirty students were selected from each of the following schools: Frank Del Olmo Elementary, Cahuenga Elementary, Commonwealth Elementary, and Virgil Middle School. Students come together on Saturday to form various ensembles and play together as a group. For special performances, students are often bussed to Central Arts High School #9, the new visual and performing arts high school.
