Why Support Harmony Project/Frequently Asked Questions
How is Harmony Project funded?
Harmony Project is funded through the generous support of countless individuals, community organizations, foundations, corporations, and government agencies. $.82 of every dollar goes back into programs.
How can I donate to Harmony Project?
There are many ways to donate to Harmony Project. You can contact the Development Office at 323-462-4311 to make a contribution via credit card over the phone. You can also visit our donation page of this website for instructions for giving online, by mail, through workplace giving, or in your will. You can also send donations to:

817 Vine Street, Suite 212
Los Angeles, CA 90038
How do I donate in honor or in memory of someone?
You can make a donation in honor or in memory of someone by using the Honor donation form or the Memorial donation form provided on this website. When you make a donation in honor or in memory, we will send you a tax acknowledgement letter and notify the party of your choosing. If you have questions, please contact the Development Department at 323-462-4311.
How much of my donation is used to support Harmony Project’s musical instruction programs?
Harmony Project works hard to keep administrative costs low, and to make sure your donation goes to our programs. Based on our last Form 990 submitted to the IRS (for fiscal year ended 06/30/08), and the formula provided by the Federal Government, 18% of our budget is spent on fundraising and administrative costs. That means that 82 cents out of every dollar goes directly to supporting Harmony Project’s programs.
How can I make a gift to Harmony Project through workplace giving campaigns?
You can designate a gift to Harmony Project if you are a federal employee through the Combined Federal Campaign. Our CFC number is: 88583.
How can I get my employer to match my gift to Harmony Project?
Hundreds of corporations around the country match employee gifts to charitable organizations. Ask your Human Resources Department if your employer matches gifts; typically, the employee completes a short form and sends it to the Harmony Project, and we do the rest. Matching gifts are a great way to double—or, in some cases, even triple—the impact of your gift.
What planned giving options does Harmony Project offer?
You can leave a lasting legacy by making a bequest to Harmony Project in your will. For more information, please call the Development Department at 323-462-4311.
