Harmony Project Rocks MacArthur Park!

Harmony Project students were invited to help kick off the Levitt Los Angeles Summer Concert Series by performing in the July 7th Opening Celebration.

Students from the Contemporary Music/Beyond the Bell, Glassell Park, and Hollywood programs performed a wide range of music from Classical to Jazz, culminating with a musical tribute to the Beatles. The Beatles tribute band No. 9 accompanied the Harmony Project and Hollywood Youth Orchestras as they reprised various famous Beatle hits, including “Hey Jude” and “A Long and Winding Road.”

The Evening was hosted by Ruth McCartney, sister to Beatle Paul McCartney, and featured additional performances by Grupo Algodon, a Salvadoran band featuring the music of the Caribbean, and Legendary Latin percussionist Pete Escovedo. The famous park was filled with families enjoying a night of music under the stars.
